I purchased The Sims 3 Ambitions expansion pack from a store, and it was pre-owned so I did not buy it brand new. I have since moved home and the game insert (along with others) have gone missing. This had the code on it obviously. How do I get hold of the code so I can install it again?
If you had the pack installed on your computer you can try a program called gamekeyrevealer (google it). As it is used you couldn't register the game unless the previous owner never registered it. A game/pack can only be registered once.
You can install and play used games but you can't register the game to your account.
How do you install a Sims 3 game on your computer (not origin) when the manual doesn't have a serialnumber? I have the original game, with manual. Only serialnumber below the manual is missing!
I'm looking at my Sims 3 Seasons disc manual and the code is on the back page top of the manual.
I see, but I am from the Netherlands and normally the code is below the manual.. only in this case.. there is no code on any page of the manual!
I'm not getting anywhere.. :/ I'm going to have to buy another copy aren't I? Unless there is a way to retrieve codes from lost manuals (perhaps from the barcode on the outer case?). I reaaaally don't want to have to buy another when I know there is nothing wrong with the actual disk, it would be such a waste
Yeah, there's probably not much you can do since there's no record of your purchase with EA (since it was pre-owned).
EA does allow you to buy new codes for $10 which might be a possibility for you: https://help.ea.com/article/obtaining-a-replacement-registration-code
