Sims 3 and Windows 8 - An Analysis

- What version of Windows 8 are you running ?
Windows 8 (consumer)
- Do you have the 32 bit Version or the 64 bit one ?
64 Bit
- Did you buy a new Computer and got Windows 8 on that or did you install it on your old machine ?
New Computer (Asus Republic of Gamers g75vw)
- Which of the EPs/SPs do you have installed ?
I have all Expansion packs except show time, and only High End Loft Stuff
- What Patch level are you at (base game) ?

- Do you have any Store content or CC/mods added ?
no
- Did you try out any of the beta/consumer preview versions and did you have any issues with those ?

- What graphic card do you have and which driver version are you running ?
Nvidia 660m with 2gb dedicated, latest driver
- What symptoms are you seeing (try to be as detailed as possible)
When I play the game it works great for various amounts of time, then it freezes and I have to Control/Alt/Delete to get out and lose everything.
- Anything else you like to add.
I have gone through 3 laptops trying to run The Sims 3, I returned each one and bought a new(excruciatingly more expensive) laptop each time with a better graphics card and specs thinking that would solve the problem. Each computer would crash to desktop while playing Sims 3, the were all Windows 8 64 bit with decent dedicated graphics cards. I am now at the top of the line in laptops that the local BB has to offer, and still can't play well. It is driving me crazy, I spent all this money trying to play Sims and it keeps freezing. If anyone has tips or advice I would really appreciate it.
