A few years ago. I installed Sims 3 on my old laptop using the redeemable code on the back. My old laptop died unexpectedly and now that I have a new one, I went to go reinstall everything, including Sims 3. However, when I tried to reinstall Sims 3, I wasn't allowed to. on account that "this code has already been redeemed". I understand that this is meant to prevent people from just sharing a game and thus costing the company money, but I cannot use it on my dead computer and do not care to buy a new one. Is there a way to override this?
@drtervghgurbgtf It sounds like you redeemed the code in Origin, or maybe on the old Sims 3 site ( www.thesims3.com or store.thesims3.com ). If so, the code is tied to that account, and it can't be used a second time, even by the original owner. However, your game should be in the Origin library of the account you used at the time, and you can download it from there for free. Origin and the old Sims 3 site share information, so even if you never used Origin at the time, you'd still have an account.
