Thanks for trying to help. I greatly appreciate it.
I updated the to the latest version of the Alienware command center. I read it is supposed to help stop the crashing. I didn't even realize it was crashing. So thanks for pointing that out.
I already did clear the cache. But I did try it again. I repaired again too.
The game still crashes when being loaded through the EA APP.
When I load it up through origin, It loads completely fine and plays wonderfully. I actually played for about 2 hours this morning with no issues.
I just can't figure out what is going on with the EA APP and sims 3. My sims 4 seems to be just fine.
Anyway, Thanks again Puzzleaddict! ( Happy New Year as well )
@DestinysEcho Please launch Sims 3 and let it crash again, then create an error report within the EA App, as described here:
https://help.ea.com/za/help/ea/ea-app/run-ea-error-report/
Post the report ID you get in this thread, and I'll send it on. I don't know whether anything will come of it, but given that the App and Sims 3 aren't fully compatible, it's possible that your particular issue, whatever it is, could get fixed along with everything else.

Is there any update on this? I still can't get my sims 3 to load. I can't use origin since the EA APP uninstalled it.
I want to play my game. I spent thousands of dollars and I can't get my game to load or even open.

I am trying to redownload store items. The launcher won't even download store items.
I have tried everything to get this darn game to work for months.
Why is EA doing nothing?

@DestinysEcho Since it's been a while, let's start fresh. Please create a new admin Windows account, a local one, as in, not tied to a Microsoft account. Don't download any mods or store or custom content; just launch the game and see whether you can get far enough to start a new save. If not, please post a new dxdiag.
This is not a commonly-reported issue with the EA App; the usual problem is that the launcher won't appear in the first place.

With the newest update of the EA APP, I generated a whole new fresh sims 3 folder. The launcher finally appeared. I can see the launcher. It just won't let me log in. I can hit play on a fresh sims 3 folder and I can get it to the splash screen.
But nothing past that works. No saves, no expansion packs, no stuff packs, no sims 3 store content.
The launcher refuses to work.
I am trying to get my packs and my store content and saves to work.
EA Cade said we have to redownload our store items. I try to do that. But the EA launcher does not allow me to log in. I have tried going to the sims 3 store page and going to purchase history. They will not allow me to log in. The websites keep saying ( as many other's have said as well ) BAD GATEWAY. It won't allow anyone to log in.
There is no way to enable the packs and There is no way to redownload store items if the launcher does not allow us to log in. The store won't work if the website won't allow people to log in. A few people on twitter said that last week, the store worked for a few moments- it said to download, it required them to use Internet explorer. Well IE is not an option any longer.
So if people can't log into the launcher, can't log into the website and their purchase history- how do they get their store items?
- 3 years ago@DestinysEcho I’m in the same situ, can’t roll back to Origin as the EA App doesn’t allow it. I’ve loaded in Offline mode, removed my mods folder, set all graphics to low (in game) unchecked interactive loading screens, STILL CRASHES ON INITIAL LOADING!!! ☹️ it’s so frustrating.

@natz1977 As a test, please try playing in a clean user folder. Move the entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and onto your desktop, and when you open the launcher, a clean folder will spawn with no content. (Your saves and other content will be intact in the folder you moved but temporarily not read by the game.) Don't add anything to the new folder yet; just let me know whether you can get far enough to start a new save and play in live mode for a bit.
If the game still crashes, please run a dxdiag and attach it to a post.
