sims 3 crashes when loading clothes in cas

My Sims 3 game crashes when it tries to load clothing in CAS. As soon as I hit the clothes button, it loads for a bit and then the music stops, "sims 3 has stopped working" shows and everything goes black.  I own all expansion packs and stuff packs.

Everything else seems to work fine.

I tried to turn off the internet connection, it helped since the game used to not load hair either, but now its fine.

I heard that i should try and make my game use more ram but i dont know if it'll work and how to do it.

Any help?
