Sims 3 crashes when loading save
This happens with me aswell. When I try to open sims 3, i get all the way to loading my family up, when it crashes the whole game. Why is this happening?

@CopperBruiser788 Your save is pretty corrupt, yes. You can try installing NRaas ErrorTrap, Overwatch, and MasterController: it's possible ET and OW will do enough cleanup to rescue your sims. You can also run an MC reset and see whether that fixes things. Click on City Hall and select NRaas > MC > Town Options > Reset Everything, then wait for it to finish.
Each time you quit the game, while troubleshooing and in general, delete the five cache files in your Sims 3 user folder:
- CASPartCache.package
- compositorCache.package
- scriptCache.package
- simCompositorCache.package
- socialCache.package
After you run the MC reset, and I would do it whether it looks necessary or not, let the game clock run for a couple sim-minutes, then "save as" and rename the save, quit, reload the save, and let me know whether it works.
Some users have reported that switching households helps in this state. But I would NOT do that without the mods in place to clean up the corrupt data from your current household.
@puzzlezaddict I have downloaded the mods. How do I use them? Do they need to be in a spesific folder? Do I unpack them?
