Sims 3 crashing to desktop

I have the sims 3 and many expansion packs including island paradise. I got a new computer recently and installed the sims 3 on it. The game has not let me play no longer than ten minutes and crashes ...

    I don't have any other suggestions other than getting a better computer. 

    You're welcome to wait for a second opinion or post in the tech forum on thesims3.com to see if they have more suggestions. This game has a minimum requirement which is already very low, especially if you have a lot of expansions and you don't meet those.

    Sorry I don't have another answer for you.

I can play the sims for up to ten minutes until it crashes to the desktop. I don't have any custom content. I can load my game and select my family and play with them for ten minutes at the most and it then crashes to the desktop. It says sims 3 has stopped working and windows will let you know if there is a solution then it says to close the program. What can I do?

    You're graphic chip is below specs. You need at least 128 MB of dedicated memory, you only have 32 MB

    Try lowering your graphic settings and turn off mirror reflections.

    Also make sure to update your graphics drivers. Yours are over a year old.
