Sims 3 Doesn't Appear in Game Library

Hello,

I purchased and redeemed a Sims 3 product code sometime last year in October. Now, I am unable to locate the game in my library to download it to continue playing. Currently, the game is installed on an old laptop and I have a new desktop computer that I would like to install the game on. Hopefully, someone can help.. It was frustrating enough when I first purchased the game trying to register an account for Sims 3, that website is a pile of hot garbage and now it seems to redirect to Sims 4. Not interested.. I just want to play my game.

Few things first; I just installed the Origin client, so I don't see how redownloading/clearing my cache, etc. would benefit me, (have searched similar issues/posts with others and that always seemed to be recommended..) this particular instance seems more like an issue with Origin. Also, I am 100% certain it is the base game and not an expansion. I even tried to redeem the product code again, but it says it's already been redeemed.. which it has, considering it's installed on my laptop.

  • @Dark_Dunez  You can only redeem a code once, so of course you'd get that message.  So then the question is which account you used to register the code.  You might check whether you have any filters enabled in Origin on your new computer that would be blocking certain games from appearing in your Origin library.

You can also find the email address associated with the TS3 code, as long as you haven't deleted your game folder on your laptop.  Go to Documents\EA\TS3\Downloads, and there should be a file in there labeled [your email].bin. Obviously, if you originally used a different email to register your game, you can login with this one and find your game.

If this is the email you've been using to login to Origin on your new computer, where you're not seeing TS3, then it may have been removed from your account.  EA could have made a mistake (it does happen).  But if you purchased the code from an unauthorized third-party seller, it's entirely possible that the code was originally stolen or otherwise fraudulently obtained, and EA has responded by deactivating it.  The only way to find out for sure is to contact customer support.  You'll need someone on that end to look at your account and tell you whether there's a problem.
