Hey! When I first got the Sims 3, I downloaded the one that came with Late Night and the Stuff Pack. I went on to download Supernatural, Pets, Seasons, and University Life. Everyone of them works fine other that University Life. My game won't turn on and will not let me play. I tried for hours fixing and surfing through the web. When I finally found a solution, I saw it required an "uninstaller". The thing is, my base game didn't come with an uninstaller. I can't play the game, or uninstall it. And I have seen your manual uninstallation. But I am worried this is too complex and will delete the files of my MacBook Air. Please answer this because I am really dissapointed in the fact that this doesn't work. Thank you.
Hi
Just to clarify, when you open your game launcher, are the small icons (in the row along the bottom of the launcher panel) for all the games you have installed highlighted except for University Life, which is greyed out? Do you know if your game is patched up to date (check the number in the lower left hand corner of the launcher to see if it is at level 1.67 or lower)?
When you try to play the game, do you get an error mesage or does it just close? How much RAM does your Macbook have?

It does gray out University Life, and it just quits when I open the game. Thank you! 🙂

OK, that means that although you downloaded and tried to install University Life, it didn't work. You can try again though. If Origin won't let you recommence the download because it thinks you have finished your installation, try the tips below.
Sometimes the download or installation fails. This can be for a variety of factors, including your internet connection dropping out during the download. Sometimes this can result in an awkward situation in which Origin acts as though the game is installed correctly. This means you can’t play the game, but nor will Origin let you re-download it. You cannot easily “uninstall” the game, because of course it isn’t there.
There are two things you can try.
1.Go into Applications on your Mac's hard drive and look in the folder called “The Sims 3”. This is the location from which your game actually launches (as opposed to a similarly named folder within Documents, which is where your saves and other data are stored). In the folder in Applications you will see the shortcut icons for the base game as well as any expansions or stuff packs installed. If you can see the icon for the game that has failed to properly download from Origin, try right clicking on it and this should give you the option to show the original file. You can move the original files to the trash from there. This may allow you to commence a re-download from Origin. (Many thanks go to Tremayne from TS3 Mac forum for this suggestion.)
2. Look in Preferences in the Origin client and find the game installers. Delete the files relating to TS3. Log out of the client, then back in, then you may be able to start redownloading.

Thank you! Happy new year. BTW I noticed it was because my game was on the patch of 1.42. I still need to update 1.67. If you have an update link for a mac, please give it to me because I really need to update. 🙂 Thank you! 😕mileywink:
