Sims 3 Expansion packs wont download?

I just bought 2 sims 3 expansion packs Sims 3 Seasons and Sims 3 Island Paradise and of course being the average sim player I'm super excited and decide to download it right away of course that wasn't the case. I clicked Island Paradise and started the download and its loading the estimated time but thats it, it never actually started downloading the game it just kept averaging a time and I'm pretty sure i've never had to wait 1123 minutes for an expansion pack to download. So I was just wondering what I can do to fix my download or just get it to actually download, i have never had this happen and it kinda sucks that i payed for expansion packs that wont download. Im connected to the internet I have nothing else running like no other games or browsers it's just not downloading for some silly reason. 

please help!!

    @Weslee_B8Hi

    If you are having issues downloading from Origin, there are a few things you can try.

    Make sure Origin is updated to the latest Beta Version:

    • Launch Origin and login with your account
    • Click on the word Origin in the top left hand corner, and select Applications Settings
    • From the general tab, scroll down to “Update to the Beta Version if Available” and tick the box
    • Restart Origin by logging out and logging back in


    Doing a clean reboot and running Origin as administrator:


    Enabling Safe Mode Downloading:

    • Open Origin 
    • Go to Applications and Settings
    • Advanced
    • Enable Safe Mode Downloading (tick the box) 
    • Try again

    Make sure that no programmes are conflicting with Origin:

    As a last resort, uninstall Origin and redownload it from here: http://origin.com/download
