I recently reinstalled sims 3 and the into the future expansion pack after a hard drive failure on my daughters machine both work fine. She purchased the world adventures pack just before the computer crash and while it appears t have installed correctly when I try tp open it i get the message that it cannt be opened because the into the future disk is not inserted.

world adventures is an older game than into the future the game always plays from the newest installed released game in this case into the future the game needs to run from that one
if the world adventures is highlighted in the launcher then you know for sure it is installed correctly and ready to go to actually use the pack her sim can use a sim phone or sim pc use the real estate/travel option to select to travel to China France or Egypt and also to select which sims to travel with usually the trip lasts 3 sim days
