Sims 3 Expansions Corrupted. In Preparing Mode Perpetually

For Showtime, do you mean you're only seeing the Sweet Treats pack, and not Showtime? 

Hi. I am also having the same issue with the Pets expansion just beings stuck at preparing. I am playing on PC. I have tried to repair the game, including expansions. I have tried to force an update for the EA app, but was told that there were no updates at this time. I have cleared the cache for the EA app and restarted my computer. Still stuck in "preparing" before saying there was an error downloading, trying again in few minutes. This has been an ongoing issue since the switch from Origin to the EA app.

Yep. I have placed MANY tickets to fix this problem with Pets. I even considered buying it AGAIN and seeing if a new one would load. Sims 3 is the best treatment for my anxiety. I'll be blunt about it. And I am not the only one, judging from the fan groups i have visited. But it seems that we've been left behind.

I will not be purchasing Sims 4 as it isn't open world, and doesn't have all the cool things like Create A Style. EA is like NASA; they went to the moon once, many years ago, and now they can't seem to find the code to do it again. Instead, we get better graphics and less content.

Please review the order history on your EA account for the transaction details for this pack. Are you seeing the purchase showing as refunded, failed, or processing? 

Thank you for helping. I cannot find the Expansion because I purchased it physically. It was grandfathered in on my store account. Now I cannot see anything like I used to. It all says "placeholder".  I can't find where it was acquired. 

It worked!!! The Help Chat was perfect and that was the problem! I'm so greatful. This game really does help MANY with depression and anxiety. I know that after all these years there is still so much I haven't done. That's because I'm really easy on my SIMS and make them successful and happy.

No offense intended, but please review the chat log. I tried the help chat and asked for troubleshooting assistance. I made it very clear I did NOT want a refund, just for my game to work. I was overriden and ignored, and the refund was processed anyways. I then, somehow, got the expansion to work after 3+ hours of trying different methods. I immediately contacted chat back for them to reverse the refund only to be told it was too late. It really sucks because I love this game. Of course I'm not blaming you, because obviously you have no control over this. But I promise I tried everything lol

Unfortunately I wouldn't have details on this refund as we can't access your specific account information here on AHQ, but if a refund was submitted for this pack, you'd no longer be able to access and play it. You'd need to re-purchase the pack in order to install and play Pets.
