Ok, so I should uninstall some expansion packs? And I have cc and have tried using the game with or without it.
If you do have CC, make sure to also clear your cache files.
You could even try resetting your user files as described in the factory reset described in this post: http://answers.ea.com/t5/The-Sims-3/FAQ-Troubleshooting-Steps/td-p/714/
You won't loose anything. Just make sure to not delete any files and make a backup.

I just noticed you have an error in your internet explorer. I think there is some security issue with it. I know you can turn it off . I think I turned mine off but I cant remember where or how I did it since I have been dealing with so many computer issues on windows 8 😕mileyhappy:
Maybe someone will chime in on the IE issue and can direct you further

Thanks! I have been having a lot of issues with windows 8 too. It is a nightmare and I definitely regret getting it on my computer.

Hi there. I've been playing Sims3 for about a year. I recently got a new computer(HP Pavilion Desktop with Windows 8.1). This computer is brand new, not refurbished. I got it last week and I put the sims on and I played for a little bit, but then it crashed. I thought maybe it was a glitch so I got back on and it did it again. I have tried literally EVERYTHING and it still won't work. I've cleared cache files. I put all of my Sims 3 files into the DEP and nothing. I don't have any MODS. Can someone PLEASE HELP!!!
