I have downloaded and installed the 3 codes for the 3 worlds via the store using the Sims 3 launcher. That worked. (the downloading and installing) I will test shortly whether it works in the game as well, but I assume it will since I have always bought/downloaded it through the website store + louncher, which worked, and not through the EA app.
Are there still store issues? Because the store isn't showing my simpoints either... So I'm not buying new simpoints through the EA app for now. :)
