I have a Mac, and None of my other games work when I put them in as well. My problum is the laucher won't open, when I put the cd to play all it says is " unknown problum" I thought I may have to unintall it but i dont know how to do that.

A few questions to start.
You mention that you downloaded the game but then you also say "none of my other games work when I put them in", which makes it sound as though you have discs. Do you have a mixture of TS3 games on discs and some as digital downloads?
If you go into Applications (not Documents) and look in the folder called "The Sims 3", do you see icons representing all of the packs that should be installed, or are any missing?
