    Many people with your cpu have the same issue: They can play the base game but not any expansions.

    The minimum requirements need at least a 2.4 ghz CPU or equivalent. You only have a AMD 1.0 ghz which is not an equivalent.

    I would try to get a refund for your expansion pack through a game advisor

    Game advisors can be found through live chat.

    Well, that's crappy, thank you for the help. I wouldn't have been able to find that out by myself. I do wonder though what are the difference between the two, and why one works and why the other doesn't?

      Cause you add the content of the expansion/stuff pack on top of the base game. So it's more than just base.
