Sims 3 is not working correctly

Up until a week ago my game was running fine. Now the problem is when I want a SIM to take a shower, when I click on the shower it says "fish or swim", or no interaction available. I can have them try to turn on the TV and it says" read cooking1" or no interaction available. If I have them go to a spot in the yard it says "eat apple". These are a few examples and I don't know what's happening or wrong. I have moved them, cleared cache out and also did a repair. I need to know what's going on? Help please!🤔

    @indycutie  Please test a new save, for comparison's sake, and let me know whether it's also affected.

    Please also let me know whether, in your current save, the options on a given object change if you change the camera angle.  Rotate 90 or 180 degrees and click the same object, then repeat for a couple more objects.
