I am sorry to hear of the problems you are having especially when you have only just started playing Sims, its not really a good advertisment is it!!!!
Anyway, I would if I were you contact the advisors on EA.com and they may either be able to help you (unlikely) or as they have done with me pass your problem to the techies. In my case my problem has supposededly been bumped up as it is I am sure an easy problem for them to sort out however as I said in my previous message I have been waiting for 3 weeks without even a message from the specialized team as they call them.
Your problem is more complicated than mine I suspect though I am not very technical and don't work for EA or anyone remotely like them - in fact I am on sick leave at the moment - I am not in a position to know what your problem is , however you say that calling someone is not available, well this is not the case. As I said you can speak to advisors if you contact EA.com. You will find that you have to work your way through a few things first, but its not difficult, and you can chat to a real person believe it or not LOL!!! They are very frustratingly friendly, and I think probably do what they can, but in my case its be passed on, but maybe they will be able to help you.
