Sims 3 keeps crashing on dell xpsL502X
This has been happening for way over a year now and i just cant seem to fix it. It gets to the bit after the city i have selected and then once its loaded my laptop makes a loud glitchy noise, crashes and a blue screen comes up saying “something went wrong ☹️“ and turns my laptop off. Ive deleted all my cc, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, tried only playing with a couple of expansion packs and still it persists. Its so frustrating as ive spent alot of money on the different expansion packs and i just want to play them!! Anyone else with this model of laptop had the same issue and been able to fix it?! Please help! Also i should add that i know the sims can be incompatible with laptops but i got this laptop especially as its a gaming one and is meant to work with the sims!
Thanks!
Thanks!
@harlienoir couple of things that pop up is first the device driver for the Nvidia GeForce GT 540m is WAY out of date. The driver is not WHQL. The system hard drive only has 37.9Gb of free space and that could be causing issues and the page file looks to be using 11Gb of that free space. Windows creates a lot of temp files and so does programs and some of those programs may start fighting over the little that is left over. It looks like some updates are failing as Windows is not at the current version. Clean out the system drive - update the Nvidia driver - and update Windows 10.
