Sims 3 keeps freezing, regular fixes don't work

Like the title says my game keeps freezing for a couple of minuets, i have tried all the regular fixes being posted, i have even re-installed the game deleting everything to start over but its still ...

Yeah i have already tried lowering everything.

The freezing only seems to freeze the Sims and won't let me click on anything for about 30 seconds then everything starts moving again for about 2 mins then it happens again.

Its getting really frustrating having this.

    I have narrowd down the problem. The freezing only seems to happen if i have Island Paradise installed, obviously i dont want to have a game i can not play, so is there anything you know that could help here?

    If the problem was only Islo Paradiso, I'd have some more tips but since it's happening in all worlds/games, I don't know why the expansion would make your whole game lag.

    Maybe try get a refund from EA ? Would that be an option for you ?
