Sims 3 Late Night glitch
I'm sure this has already been talked about before, but I had a quick look and couldnt find anything on it, so i apologise in advance. Basically every sim in my town has all gathered around a particular building, and are just standing there freaking out because they cant go home. Some manage to get in a car and appear to go home, although they come back seconds later. This happened a few hours after I purchased Late Night and is on Bridgeport outside the butterfly espande. I've heard that this bug has been around for as long as the expansion pack has, and there apparently is still no fix. I've already contacted EA via live chat twice. The first time I was instructed to try the obvious "resetsim firstname lastname" but obviously this did not work. After a good amount of time of me going through every sim in the town, I noticed that they were all just coming straight back to the location. After that I contacted again where I was ordered to try a whole bunch of stuff, like going in the Sims 3 directroy and deleting every file that ended in .package. Ofcourse this did not work either. I was then told to delete everything in my %temp% folder along with a few other things. This also did not work. Finally I was told to mess around with a ton of settings then restart my computer and she insisted it would deffinately work when i turned it back on. Instead i turned my computer on to find that my computer was in shambles. I couldnt load anything up without it popping up "____ is not responding", my internet wouldnt load, and i couldnt even manage to get onto the Sims to check if the problem was still there, therefor resulting in my having to retrace my steps and undo everything i'd been told to do earlier. I'm not willing to contact EA again as it's clear that so far they do not have a solution to the problem and instead are putting my computer at risk, so I just thought i'd ask here, is there any way to fix this bug, and does anyone know if they are actually working on a patch..? Thanks for reading guys, and I'm sure you've saw this numerous times before on the forums so sorry!
