MacOS menu bar is showing while I'm in fullscreen mode Sims 3
A few days ago I pressed by F3 key while on sims 3 because I wanted to look at other desktop real quick. After I did that my Sims 3 game went into a "windowed" mode (I made it back fullscreen after) but it's still been showing a grey bar ever since and it's really frustrating to play with that.
I included some screenshots showing when it was in fullscreen (no grey menu bar), in fullscreen showing a menu bar, and windowed more showing 2 menu bars
Things I've tried that didn't work (I'm also on M5 Air with Tahoe 26.4.1 if that helps):
- Matching my Mac display settings with ALL the display settings Sims 3 has
- Setting my Mac settings: "automatically hide and show the menu bar" to "in full screen only" and also enabling "displays have separate spaces"
- I tried the cmd+enter and option+enter (or f can't really remember), and when I do that I go back to actual windowed mode, but this time another grey menu bar pops up on top of the previous one. When this happens, I press the keys again and it takes me back to fullscreen, but still showing the menu bar. :/
- Also I tried to simultaneously change my displays while in windowed and fullscreen and it doesn't do anything
- Tried to readjust my options.ini setting fullscreen to 0, then back to 1. Also trashed it so the game generates a new one.
- Repaired Sims 3, uninstalled sims 3 and the EA app + deleting cache files
- Deleting TS3 folder
- Making a new user account on my Mac, restarting, turning on and off
