Sims 3 latest patch 1.48 to 1.50 an 'invalid' file' help!

Hi there!

I'm having issues with the sims 3's latest patch from 1.48 to 1.50. Everytime I try to install it, it tells me its an 'invalid' file. I have all expansions except for Diesel, Katy Perry and 70s, 80s, 90s stuff. 

Basically it gets almost installed and then a x popup appears telling me that there is an invalid file ☹️
