@SimsSeer I've never seen it either, so I'm kind of flying blind here. Just in case this is a weird instance of a connection issue, can you set your phone as a mobile hotspot (using data, not your home wifi) and connect your computer to that? The idea is to test a different network, just long enough to see whether the launcher loads. Please clear Edge's IE-mode data again before trying this.
If this doesn't help, try playing with your computer offline, just to see whether you get a different result. You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play.
If that doesn't help either, please post a dxdiag, for reference.
