@Harleygirl62 That's exactly the information I wanted, thanks. Your dxdiag doesn't list any Sims 3 crashes, but it's possible that's because you haven't tried to play in a little while, and the newer errors have crowded out the old ones. What I can see for sure is that you will need to apply one of the Alder Lake workarounds because you have an affected processor: Sims 3 won't start on this computer without a workaround. It should run fine with help though. Please see the accepted solution of this thread for more details:

Apply the approach of your choice to TS3.exe, without the W, if you've installed it through the EA App (or Origin if it's an older install). For a Steam install, or a disc install that doesn't require the EA App to launch, use TS3W.exe, with the W.
I can also see that a component of AVG is crashing. If you try an Alder Lake workaround and it doesn't help, please set exceptions for the game and for EADesktop.exe. This guide was written with Sims 4 in mind, but the relevant settings are the same:

If this doesn't help etiher, please look for new errors in the Reliability Monitor. Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes, and you'll see a chart of errors and updates with a column for each day. Today is on the right.
Look for an error that happened at exactly the time of your most recent attempt to launch Sims 3, specifically after you've done the steps I listed. If you find one, double-click it to see more details, then copy that info and paste it into a reply here. If you don't see a new error, check back in an hour or so—the Reliability Monitor doesn't always update right away.
