Sims 3 not fitting to computer screen even though on full screen mode

I am having an issue of when in game play that that it wont fit to my computer screen when it has before. How can I go about fixing this or will I have to play sims3 without it fitting to my screen?

    What didn't work ? Changing the resolution ? Did it not do anything or is it still off ?

    If it's the second one, do you have issues with any other programs ?

I had the same problem but mine used to be full screen to then it just stop and wouldn't let me maximize the screen but if you have windows 8 all you have to do on there is press control, windows button, alt and enter all at once may need to do it twice then it will ask you to verify the display settings hit yes and it will go back to normal and stay like that
