Sims 3 not launching on windows 7

Hi. I can't launch my sims 3 game on my windows 7. It doesn't launch from the EA app nor the sims 3 on my deskboard. It worked before but after I updated my computer I can't launch it anymore. It says its not compatible with my program? I have tried changing properties to be compatible with different windows versions but it didn't work. I also deleted all my CC's, repaired my games on EA and reinstalled the game but it's still not working. Please help. I attached my Dxdiag report if that helps.

  • lolsterdance  Please uninstall and reinstall your VC++ 2005 x86 runtime, which Sims 3 uses.  Open Windows Settings > Apps, scroll down to the Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributables, click the 2005 version (it won't say x86, but that's what it is), and uninstall it.  You can get a new copy here:

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=26347

You only need the x86 version, not the other two.  Restart after installing and before trying to play.
