Hello, over the past couple of days I have been unable to save my game. I have always played with several expansion packs at once and haven't had any serious issues. I get a message saying that a technical issue has occurred and to go the Readme file. I don't know what this is. Can anyone be of assistance? Thank you.

An unexpected error has occurred while saving: Error Code 16. Please consult the readme for details.
grannysmith53 Try renaming your save to something simple, like test , just to see whether it helps. Even if the name is already simple, still try renaming it, using "save as" rather than "save."
If that doesn't help, try playing with your computer offline. You can sign into the EA App and put it in offline mode, then disable wifi and/or disconnect the ethernet cable before pressing Play. I realize this isn't a great fix, at least on a permanent basis, but it is a useful test.
Error Code 16 is usually caused by Microsoft's OneDrive trying to save the documents folder to its cloud at the same time, and The Sims 3 doesn't like that. Try disabling OneDrive and see if that helps.
KevinL5275 That's why I suggested playing offline—it should take care of any OneDrive syncing issue plus some antivirus-related issues, which can also cause problems saving.
