Sims 3 not working on EA App

Hi, I've recently had my laptop wiped clean and upgraded. I've been playing the Sims 3 on Origin but now I've installed the game through the EA Desktop app and the game won't load. The launcher opens...

    @Kehribar2  This means that the reason Sims 3 wasn't working has something to do with your main account and not your computer overall.  That's a really good thing because at worst, you can use the new account.  For the main account, one common issue is borked permissions on the Documents folder (or the Electronic Arts folder inside).  You can fix this, if it is in fact the problem, with the takeown command.  I wrote out how to do this for someone else here:

    The thread was about Sims 4, but both user folders are in that location, so the command applies equally here.  And just to be clear, you're running the command in your main user account with that account's username, not the new account's name.
