sims 3 on macbook air
I use a macbook air, I've bought sims 3 with expansion packs as CD and managed to install with an external driver.
however i won't be carrying the cd driver all the time with me, and have searched the net to come up with an official NoCD patch for the sims3, and my conclusions are as belows:
- There is no official digital copy download for MAC available although i enter my cd key in Electronic Arts.
- EA guides to download a copy from Origin--however, origin also does not have Mac version!
- and last but not the least, again, EA offers to go to gametreemac, buy the freakin game in digital copy again from there, no option of entering and downloading one with the already owned CD key or EA account.
so can someone please explain, what the heck is wrong with these guys?
no sufficient support for MacBook AIR? neither for mac? just because trendsetting like they did years ago, disabling the **bleep**ty floppy 1.4MB disks and enabling zip and cd drives, mac was turned back to.
is this history repeating? new retina macbooks do not also have CD drive -- oh or am i missing, EA has no interest in the mainstream computer related issues???
come on! even the hacked blizzard gives digital downloads of diablo III! losing in everything for inapp purchases for ipad and losing the main customer- the laptop and desktop users of good ol'sims?
come on!
i do not want to get **bleep**ty patches of crackers-hackers-sim bloggers with offering solutions as "show package contents>edit the blabla file" to a non coder-develpoer.
i am a basic gamer and i ask for my right to the already paid out expensive sims game.
