Sims 3 packages keep turning into sims 4 packages

I am downloading sims 3 mods/cc and they just keep turning into sims 4 mods/cc and i dont know how to fix it they just keep turning into sims 4 packages even though they are sims 3 packages, please help i cant figure out whats wrong

@DixieGirl103 My laptop with Win11x does not differ between the file types as well, and call everything .package PACKAGE-file. They are however not the same type of files, so you need to install them in the right directory for them to work.
