Sims 3 Pets does not work

Question

Hi. I'm very upset. I bought Sims 3 pets for 30 dollars. The Sims game worked perfectly before I downloaded pets. But when I had pets the game just randomly froze, then shut down. And my friend, I'm not going to expose her name had trouble with it too. She tried to play pets, it said she didn't have a disc. When she inserted the disc it said she didn't have a copy of the SIMS 3 installed even though the launcher popped up. I suggest you fix that.

What is your operating system
At what point does your game crash ? Any regularities ?
How long can you usually play ?
Which EP/SPs do you have installed ?
Are you using custom content and mods in your game ?

I did all the things you said and I dont have a lot of uneccesary content installed. But all the other EPs I have work. I've contacted EA costumer service but they can't seem to fix their own game.
