Sims 3 pets keeps crashing

I used to play the sims 2 pets. I bought it since I could play both the sims and supernatural with no problem. When I installed pets after a while it just crashed. I even bought a new laptop but the problem was on my new laptop too. 

I contacted EA twice but they didn't help at all. 

Should I just sell it on and give up? I can't believe I bought a game that doesn't work

    Hello,

    You have a slightly weaker processor, which has integrated graphics - this is probably the cause of your crashing, as the laptop is probably overheating. The Sims 3 Pets is quite a demanding expansion pack, and therefore would push your system pretty hard.

    I would suggest lowering your in-game graphics settings to low, and update your AMD graphics driver, which can be found here.

    processor: AMD A8-455M APU Radeon(tm) HD Graphics (4 cpus), - 1.6ghz
    memory: 8192mb ram

    Thanks for the info. I thought it would work as my other games do and spending a lot of money on a laptop or modifications for one game seems silly to me. I can't afford it really ☹️ 

    I just wish I'd know this before I bought it, I assumed that my laptop could run it and thought it had the right specs
