Sims 3 Plus University Life

Somebody Please Help!!!!!! I bought thde Sims 3 plus University life pack. they came together. anyways when i typed in the verification code i mistakenly put in the university life code instead of the sims 3 code.....well now it says the game sims 3 is 100% installed but that i need to install sims 3 before continuing when that is the game i did install. i tried putting the university disk in next hoping i could just type in the sims 3 code but it wont work☹️(( somebody please help!!! i paid way to much for this for it to not work now, there has to be a way to fix it! please!
