@Meli_ZG Do you happen to have OneDrive enabled and set to automatically sync Documents with cloud storage? If so, or if you're not sure, please check and disable auto sync if necessary.
If that doesn't help, or it isn't the issue, try playing while your computer isn't connected to the internet, as in, disable wifi and/or pull the ethernet cable. You can sign into Origin first, if you use it, put it in offline mode, then take your computer offline before launching the game. Please test in another clean folder, just to be thorough. But you don't need to spend much time playing—the question is whether you can reliably save, quit, and reload your existing save.
By the way, you have only a little free storage left on your hard drive. At 19 GB free, it's not critical yet, but you may want to try to free up a few more GB.

@puzzlezaddict nothing seems to help 😭

@Meli_ZG Do you have a third-party antivirus/firewall running? If so, please disable it temporarily, at least long enough to test.
If that doesn't help, create a new admin user account on your computer. Make sure its name contains only letters and numbers, no special characters, accents, etc. The game and Origin will already be accessible; all you have to do is launch it, create a save, quit, and reload to see whether it works.

@puzzlezaddict tried what you said, did not work... Don't know what happen. I did the only thing left, I uninstalled it and installed it again, and it runs smoothly. I lost all my saved games, but at least now I can play normaly. Thank you for your help 😊

@puzzlezaddict just an update, after I build my house and played for few hours, same sh*t happened... I guess it's not meant to be...
- puzzlezaddict6 years agoHero+
@Meli_ZG I'm still willing to try if you are. I think the uninstall/reinstall worked temporarily for the same reason removing the game folder did: when you have no saves in that folder, the game loads fine.
To be thorough, run a couple of checks on your Windows system files. Here's how:
- Hit Windows key-X
- Choose either “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator),” whichever option is offered
- Inside the window that appears, copy and paste “DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth” without quotes into the window, and enter
- The system will start validating soon. If it throws an error, please list it here
- After it reaches 100%, hit Windows key-X again
- Again, choose “PowerShell (Administrator)” or “Command prompt (Administrator)”
- Inside the window, copy and paste “sfc /scannow” without quotes into the window, and enter
- Post the message you receive here
If that doesn't help, please try a clean boot.

If that doesn't help either, please run another dxdiag, so I can see whether there are any new and interesting errors.
- 6 years ago@puzzlezaddict Windows Resource Protection did not find any integrity violations.

@puzzlezaddictfirst two didn`t work, here is dxdiag

@Meli_ZG It still seems like a permissions issue. When you made the new user account, did its username have any letters with accents, or other characters that English doesn't use? Right now, Origin isn't handling certain characters well—I've seen examples from Croation as well as Polish, German, and Scandanavian languages. Having a file path (This PC\Users\username\Documents...) to your saves that includes a letter Origin or Sims 3 doesn't recognize could account for the issue you're describing.
This dxdiag also has a few errors related to a Windows language package, although no new ones since the first dxdiag. I'm not sure what to do with those though, and if you're not seeing any issues on-screen, it might not be a real problem.
If that's not it, try disabling Origin in-game. Hover over your username, select Application Settings, then Origin in-game, and disable the setting. Also try running both Origin and Sims 3 as an admin: right-click on the Origin shortcut and select "Run as administrator." Once you're signed in, you can do the same for TS3.exe, which by default is located in:
Program files (x86)\Origin Games\The Sims 3\Game\Bin
- 6 years ago@puzzlezaddict mz username on Origin is same as here
- 6 years ago@puzzlezaddict I disabled the origin in game, run both as administrator and still nothing... my ingame save is called isla paradiso by default

@Meli_ZG Please look for entries in the Reliability Monitor that relate to Sims 3. Hit Windows key-R and enter "perfmon /rel" without quotes. You'll see a chart with entries for each day. For any that mention Sims 3 or Origin, or any that are from around the same time as when you've tried to launch the game, click "View technical details," copy the information, and paste it into a text file (Notepad works fine). You can attach that file to a post just as you did your dxdiags.

Sorry I didn't have internet connection few days. I think I did it right like you said, but I can't see charts or mentioning sims or origin
- 6 years ago
@puzzlezaddict this shows when it opens
- puzzlezaddict6 years agoHero+
@Meli_ZG Okay, you can go back a few days in the Reliability Monitor. Just click on the last day you tried to play, and look for the relevant entries. Click on the day before that too and have a look.

@puzzlezaddict this is what I found about sims
- puzzlezaddict6 years agoHero+
@Meli_ZG Please go to this site:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/laptops
enter the serial number of your laptop, and go to the downloads page. Please link that page: it doesn't have any details specific to your laptop, just the drivers for your particular model. I'd find the page myself, but it's almost impossible to know that I have the correct driver page for an HP laptop without the serial number, and of course that's not something that should be posted.
When I see the driver download page, I can compare the dates and version numbers with the ones in your dxdiag.
@puzzlezaddict it says when I enter serial number "We were unable to find drivers for your product."
- puzzlezaddict6 years agoHero+
@Meli_ZG Did you try manually selecting your OS? You have Windows 10 buiild 1909.
- 6 years agoSpoiler@puzzlezaddict i tried, but not sure if I did it right, sims still aren't working properely
- puzzlezaddict6 years agoHero+
@Meli_ZG I meant, when you go to this page:
https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/laptops
and enter your laptop's serial number, and it says it can't find drivers for your model, please try manually selecting your operating system: Windows 10, and build 1909 if it asks.
