Sims 3 Resource.cfg issues

Hi everyone,

I have recently re-installed my Sims 3 game and I have Pets, Ambitions, Late Night, Showtime and Island Paradise. The game's version is 1.69. 

The Resource.cfg file that I have is the newest one that I could find however, I have tried the original one (which has worked before) and blunote00's method of copying and pasting into a new Notepad and trying that method instead. I have also double checked to see if I have any other Resource.cfg files anywhere but I don't.

I have attached screenshots of my Sims 3 folder, Mods folder and the Packages folder.

    @Evil_Mantis14 It looks right but does the package work with your game version? You didn't post the contents of your resource.cfg file so I don't know if the game is looking in the right place and file type. I recommend trying different cc/mods to see if the configuration is working. Here is a link to a good cc/mods for Sims 3 - sims 3 cc/mods

    So should I make a backup of mine and then should I  try to copy and paste yours to see if it works for me?

    Well I have tried your version of the file but it hasn't worked. Does it matter if there's any Resource.cfg files in the expansion pack folders or am I just being silly?
