Sims 3 service initialization error

Question

Hello, thankyou for the help, this patch worked for me for a while (the game opened about 3 times in the same day), but now (different day) it's not working anymore; launcher opens alright but the game won't... does anyone know how to fix this? I'll attach some screenshots that show the error when launching.&nbsp;

Some other info:
- Bought and downloaded the game on Steam
- Tried the AlderLakePatch (worked for a day)
- Tried the Task Manager Method (didn't work at all, with or without the patch installed)
- 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-13620H 2.40 GHz
- NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB&nbsp;

@nina_cuki_888&nbsp; I've split your post into its own thread because the service initialization error is completely unrelated to the Alder Lake issue.&nbsp; You're right that you needed the Alder Lake patch initially; I'm just saying that's not going to fix this particular error.

Did you try to uninstall any packs in Steam, or get refunds for ones you didn't want?&nbsp; The most common cause of this error is a problem with Sims 3's registry entries.&nbsp; One cause in particular is having entries present that correspond to packs that have been uninstalled, but it's not the only cause.&nbsp; Let me know either way and we can go from there.
