Sims 3 stops when I click "start playing household"

If I use CAS it works fine but both move in household or choose household to play both stop working, the tick will turn grey but nothing happens, if I save and reload it opens in edit town mode and s...

I have the same problem. i didnt really notie because like you said i dont move around alot but i notice it started happening after i installed island paradise

Could you make your own thread, posting your DxDiag.

Did you check your computer with cyri: http://systemrequirementslab.com/cyri to see if specs are ok (this goes for OP too, haven't really found anything other than your specs being too low).
