Sims 3 stops when I click "start playing household"

If I use CAS it works fine but both move in household or choose household to play both stop working, the tick will turn grey but nothing happens, if I save and reload it opens in edit town mode and s...

I have the same problem. Could it be because I didn't patch it? I am patching it at the moment.
