Forum Discussion
Just wanted to let you all know that we are aware of this situation and your reports and are going to look at your accounts so you can get back to the offers.
In this thread, there are a couple of different issues being mentioned which we'll be looking at but some can potentially be resolved by trying the following.
- Close The Sims 3
- Open Internet Explorer (even if it isn't your normal/default browser)
- If you have Windows 10, quick way to do this is open EDGE, then click the menu and select Open with Internet Explorer. That will open IE11 for you to clear the browser cache. Deleting the cache of EDGE will not resolve any problems with TS3 login.
- Click the cog icon in the top right
- Select Internet Options
- On the GENERAL tab under Browsing History click DELETE
- Make sure all options are selected except for "Preserve favorites website data"
- Load The Sims 3 and log in
The steps above won't resolve the Make Me An Offer and Specials. Only potentially the login issues.
With regards to SimPoints, they are now sold through Origin. Simply log in to Origin using the same email and password you use at www.thesims3.com.
You can also find them here - https://www.origin.com/search?searchString=SimPoints.
Thank you for the reply and looking into this problem. I know there are a lot of new and old users that still use the site. I hope it gets worked out soon since it has been down for over a month and a half now. We really appreciate the response!

This particular issue has affected a small number of players and while we will be able to fix your access relatively quickly, we will be looking into what causes the problem in the longer term.
If you happen to know others who have this problem please have them post here or get their Origin name so we can look at their account and get them going again too.
I see you posted a link to this thread on Reddit too, thank you for that crys4204e.

The site problems has been an issue for everybody who uses Make Me an Offer and the Sale portion of the store. Thank you for looking into this.
I have also been unable to access MMAO for over a month now. I've been watching the forums for updates regarding the issue, thank you for replying here. It's nice to know that the issue is on your radar and steps are being taken to fix it.

Down to checking about once per week to see if I can log in. As of today Its still an issue. At least I can log in here on answers hq though that was also an issue two days ago.
Thanks and best luck to you.

@MaxisBazajaytee Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for looking into this.
For those following along, there's also a thread on the forums regarding these same issues here:
I did post some previous information/differences I encountered between using IE and Chrome, but as Bazajaytee mentioned, the MMAO isn't available using either browser, nor has the store Sale page been updated YET.
Hopefully, we'll have a resolution soon.
EDIT: Also, fwiw, I'm not having any issues logging into that site using either browser. My "thing" was primarily that the MMAO and Sale page weren't functioning as they should.
EDIT 2: I also cross posted to the forums through thesims4.com, because there's an additional thread over there with folks having the same issues. I tried to post a link back here (as part of MaxisBazajaytee's post) but all I could post was a brief folder/thread path, as it wouldn't allow me to post a link. Was just trying to help with combining the disjointed threads.

I also cannot access MMAO, and the sales have not updated for me since October 12. My Sims 3 ID is different than my Origin. On Sims 3, I am simsfanatic9. Thank you.
Ditto for me. No MMAO access since October, although I've been able to log in through the "My Page" web login (direct login doesn't work).
If you could have a look at my account, that would be much appreciated.
I take it the frozen weekly specials are yet another thing, though?

This is happening to me too. I have been playing the Sims 3 for a decent amount of time but only recently decided to actually take to the online side of it. I've been sitting on the daily offers page most of my day, checking in whenever I can for some fine deals. After all, I seem to have several thousand Simpoints to spend.
However about 4 days ago I began having trouble logging in. I can't log in through mobile, the page just loads endlessly. I CAN login on PC, but it will immediately kick me out the moment I click any link making any and all purchases impossible. I also cannot log in from the launcher or the game itself, it will simply pop up a small red notice saying 'not logged in' and this will go on forever, no matter how many times I try. It's a shame too, because I was starting to enjoy hunting for badges.
I have changed my password. I have cleared my cache and data across several devices. It's not a problem on my end when it all worked flawlessly a week ago, and I have made no changes here since. So this is me, adding my name to the roll of people begging to have this problem fixed.

This should be sorted now, can you try accessing Make Me An Offer now?
Thanks
Make Me An Offer is Back :eahigh_file: Thanks for getting that fixed up! Unfortunately the Sale! page of the store is still running expired sales that have not renewed since before 10/12/16. If you could see about that I am sure a lot of people would be extremely grateful!
BTW some of the video ads you can play to collect points don't pay out, for instance the trivial pursuit ones and a couple others.

Yep, sales page is part 2 of our investigation.
Glad you can access Make Me An Offer again, thanks for confirming so quickly.
We have raised the SimPoint reward for some of the advertisements to the company that provides the service, like you say Trivial Pursuit is one of the main culprits for not paying out.

I am so glad that you are working to fix the site. Many of us were starting to think the sims 3 site was abandoned. I'm glad that EA has not given up entirely on fans of the older version. There are a ton of users that have gone back to the Sims 3 recently. I have updated the users on Reddit that were having the same problems that you have fixed MMAO and are working on the other issues. We appreciate your hard work, Thank you again!!

So we know why the sales ended and will be addressing it in the near future so more sale items will be available.
Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for reporting the issues and gathering more reports from Reddit for us.
You can also reach me on Reddit if you need my attention at - https://www.reddit.com/user/MaxisBazajaytee/
The Sims 3 is definitely still supported. We are currently in the middle of a datacenter migration for The Sims 3 so there may be some interruptions in service as we move our servers but we'll try to keep that to a minimum.

I am still unable to use Make Me An Offer~ page says 'working on it'. Like others I have been trying for over a month. I've never experienced log in issues. The only thing that has been affected, for me, is the Make me an offer.
MMAO is back for me too. Happy Chrome user.
YAY!
I'm still insta-kicked as soon as I log into the site, so I can't even navigate anywhere anyway. Still can't log in through the game launcher either.
Hi there,
Thanks for addressing the issue. I have cleared my cache and tried different browsers but I am still receiving the 'Be Right Back' error on MMAO. Why might this be please?
- Anonymous9 years ago
Speaking for Vgrace573 who would love to check her MMAO-- if only she could log in. She can't. Yes, all browser caches including IE are cleared. Very glad that some folks are up and running again.
Speaking for myself (and potentially jinxing myself), my account is one of the lucky ones that didn't experience these issues (except weekly sales of course) but I'm quite certain it was midday yesterday when I passed on 5 mmao offers. Went there this morning to see how much time left and I've got 5 again already. Not complaining, mind you. Just superstitiously afraid that if I hit the button before my time the whole house of cards will crash down for everyone.

Count me in on this too. No MMAO access since October, although I've been able to log in through the "My Page" web login (direct login doesn't work for me either).
If you could have a look at my account as well, that would be much appreciated. TYIA

I never had any problems with the MMAO page as some people seem to be having. It seemed to work even though I only tried it a couple of times. Rolled the offers fine, had more the next day.
Hadn't thought about the My Page login option. Tried that too and no go. Here's a complete list of what's happening to me:
On PC, Chrome (tried on two different PCs, with cleared cache on both IE, Edge and Chrome):
- Login through My Page tells me my information is wrong.
- Login through the Login link at the top left works. The pop-up window comes up, accepts the password. Said 'Login' word turns into my user name, but it doesn't display the amount of Simpoints I have on the right as it should. Then the moment I do anything at all, be it refresh the page or browse to an offer, I'm back out with the 'login' link showing instead of my name.
- Login through any of the quick login pop-ups when I click on for instance a Buy Now offer link works. It logs me in and sends me not to the page relating to the offer I was trying to acquire, but the MMAO page instead. If I try to roll an offer, or browse anywhere else, again I'm no longer logged in.
- Login through the Sims 3 Launcher grants me the 'Not logged in' red message.
- Login through the game itself grants me the invalid password message.
On Android device:
- Login through the My Page tells me my information is wrong.
- Login from any other pop-up prompt loads endlessly, and never actually logs me in.

Hi,
😢
I'm always having the same problems with MMAO and the weekly specials.
I use Firefox 50.0.2. I cleaned the caches, rebooted.... I tested with Internet Explorer and Chrome same result. I also tested the site at several times throughout the day: nothing done.Hope, you could you help me too.
Thank you in advance.Cya - jude5259 years agoSeasoned Ace
After initially having login problems like everyone else, I've been able to login for several weeks consistently now. But still waiting to get MMAO to work. I use a variety of browsers and operating systems, with the same (non)results.

I've been having this exact same problem with my Sims 3 account. I can log into the Sims 3 Store with my Origin credentials without an issue, but as soon as I navigate to another page, it's like I never logged in at all. I get "invalid login/password" when I try to log in through My Page at thesims3.com (so I can't register the new expansions I got recently), and I can't log in through the launcher either.
I have a feeling that my Sims 3 account and Origin account aren't merged properly, since I've always had similar issues. I just made a new Sims 3 account using a different Origin account and am able to navigate through the Sims 3 site without issue, as well as sign into the launcher, so it's definitely something about this account. If I remember correctly, I made my Sims 3 account and this Origin account completely separately and then later had them merged, so that might be causing problems. - 9 years agoInteresting. I had never considered that but indeed I have recently installed the game again due to a complete PC wipe, and immediately had problems registering the last EP I bought. After waiting for some time (because I had noticed some comments on people whose EPs had taken up to several years to properly show on their pages), it randomly decided to pop up on the list. That's about the same time I started having problems with logging in.
It may indeed be some sort of error between Origin and the Sims 3 site sync. - HALO_Project9 years agoRising Ace
I also believe that it might have something to do with account syncing because MMAO is available if I am not logged in but it is not available, error page just as the OP pictured, if I am logged in. Now that I'm thinking about it I had a problem with Origin telling me that I do not own SimCity (actually it is still offering to sell it to me and yet I actually have it installed and was assured by tech support that it is registered to my account but I have to use odd filters to see it). Anyway during that solution I was directed by the tech support guy to delete anything concerning Origin and what I own but not the main Origin files and to let Origin repair them. But I was having issues with MMAO and the Sims 3 site before that. The issues with SimCity occurred after Origin updated with its new look and UI. I don't know if there is a relationship there or not.
