Sims 3 unicorn breeding

I have a horse and unicorn with a high friendship level but when I choose the 'try for foal' option a positive moodlet appears but then they don't do anything. Am I doing something wrong? I've tried e...

    For you to Breed your friendship level has to be Maxed out to breed
