Sims 3 won't play with expansion pack

I bought the Sims 3 3in1 from origin (it had Sims 3 base, high end loft stuff, and Sims 3 late night expansion pack.) I downloaded Sims 3 without a issue and started to play while the expansion pack ...

Is your computer a pc or mac? If you uninstall Late Night does the base game play?

     It's a pc. And if I uninstall Late night the bae game plays fine!

      What security software are you using and what OS do you have ?

        I am uing Norton and I have Wondows 8.1
