Sims 3 won't play with expansion pack

I bought the Sims 3 3in1 from origin (it had Sims 3 base, high end loft stuff, and Sims 3 late night expansion pack.) I downloaded Sims 3 without a issue and started to play while the expansion pack downloaded.

First problem I ran into is my Sims 3 launcher didn't update itself so I had to download the super patched just to install the expansion pack, but in the end it installed.

Now my sims3 won't play while the expansion pack is installed! When I go to the launcher and press play the launcher disappear and the loading sign is at my cruser like the game is going to open, but then nothing happens. I have also tried opening the game by going to the file but nothing happens when I do that other. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling BOTH the base and expansion and I still get the same results! Can someone please help me!!??
