Sims Cannot Get Out Houseboat

gonna give this a try because now they cant use their stove because of a cabinet i had above it. which has never happened before, i already deleted the cabinet so they could use it, but im still gonna give it a try

lightsqber​  Glad you got it figured out.  I don't think it would help with this particular issue, but if your sims are having trouble finding space for interactions in general, the "sims need less space" series of mods on MTS may be useful.  The mods resize the jigs that sit under a sim or sims while they're performing an activity, and a smaller jig means it's easier to get around them, and it's also easier for the sim to find a place to perform the action.  There's one mod per EP, and one for the base game, and also a "pets need less space" mod.  These are newer but don't have any major reported issues, and they shouldn't conflict with anything else due to how they're made.

yup so, the problem was infact the house they had. the front area didnt have much space for them.  thank you guys for attempting to help me!

ill try to place it somewhere else. i started rebuilding a semi replica of the house last night with more space in the front but luckily i still have the other houseboat saved

the room is a flat roof, not one of those big triangle pyramid roofs if you know what i mean

lightsqber​  I would still try deleting the front door and anything immediately around it that isn't a wall.  If that alone doesn't help, try placing the door somewhere else.  I know it doesn't make sense since the sim is already outside, but as I'd mentioned before, it does happen.

Yeah I would think the path from the house through those doors, past the mailbox and to the dock is too tight a squeeze. 

so i just tried this, so sorry i took a bit to respond ive been busy. but ive come to the conclusion that its really not a dock problem, its a houseboat problem. because even when i have one of my sims take the houseboat out, they cant even get out to swim. what i dont understand is, i built this houseboat. its not like its a cc houseboat i found online. so i dont understand why this is happening

lightsqber​  Move the houseboat elsewhere.  Go to Edit Town, click the dock lot, and save it to your library.  Use the Bulldoze tool on the lot, then place the saved copy there.

You don't need to save your progress if this doesn't help or has unwanted side effects.

i did and he always stops and turns to look in one direction. also how do i replace the dock lot?
