If you are downloading from Origin there is an option to save the installers and you don't have to dl the installers again. Pets demands a lot from your computer especially if you have a weak graphics chip. The reason it takes some long to install from download is the installer first needs to be dl'd AND THEN it runs. Installing from disc the installer just runs. The time it takes to dl depends on your internet connection. You would have to post your computers hardware to know if it can handle PETS.
