The sims screen is stuck. I can still exit out but i can't shut it down properly. What do I do?

KIll the ts3.exe (or ts3w.exe) process through the task manager
- Same thing is happening to me everyone's replays aren't exactly helping we can't get on task manager because the screen turns black and the mouse is a blue spinning circle
This worked for me. I pressed command ,option and escape all at once and a list popped up. I scrolled down to sims 3 pressed it and clicked force quit that worked for me.I hope it helps.
