Slow personal firetruck

Question

I'm playing with the firefighter career, and have advanced to level 10 and gotten the personal firetruck, which is my character's only vehicle. Presumably this is because it doesn't have the upgrades I put on the department's firetruck. I'm also not sure if the maintenance I do at the fire station is applied to the personal fire truck or to the department truck...I tried purchasing a parking space on my home lot, but the firetruck won't park there so it can be maintained/upgraded. It takes excessively long to get anywhere, especially since my home lot is out in the boonies.

Is there any workaround for this? I tried to Google for a solution but came up empty.

richvh&nbsp; The firetruck needs a large parking space, not the normal size.&nbsp; You can upgrade it once it's on the parking space.
If this doesn't help, or it's not fast enough for your taste, let me know whether you'd be willing to use a (lightweight, specific) mod to increase its speed.

Is such a large parking space in build or buy mode? If so, where?

richvh&nbsp; It should be in Buy mode, next to the regular parking space, under by function &gt; vehicles.
