starting screen at beginning of sims 3 game it says it could not identify the drive i was using

I just got my Sims 3 2 day and when I installed it and started to play it,&nbsp; at&nbsp; the main menu screen where it shows your profile it has a screen pop up at me saying it could not identify the hard drive, or driver I was using and it said I might need to ask for customer support , what does it mean, can I still play it because not long after that it downloaded patches and updates.&nbsp; Does this mean I can play it or not.&nbsp; Help please.

Could you post the exact error message you're getting ?Did you install the game on the c drive or some other drive ? What is your operating system ?

Unfortunately the error only showed up once so I couldn’t really tell you the exact message all it said was it could not identify the hardware (or driver) I was using and that I needed to contact customer support, Also the message never appeared again, meaning that the problem may have been fixed through the updates and patches it received after.&nbsp; It says that Sims is on the F drive. The operating system is windows 8 pro, the graphics it uses is Intel(R) HD Graphics, and the processor is Intel I Core 7 and is a 64 bit operating system. 2.20GHz, 8 GB memory.
