I have sudo purged my mac three times tried using chrome, firefox, and microsoft edge and still it never works. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all sims content and origin and still nothing. Every time I try to download anything from single items to large worlds it goes to launcher like normal I click download and then all the buttons grey out. Please help I've spent $80 in sims points all for nothing.
@Re-RedPanda Are you running the 32-bit or the 64-bit version of Sims 3? If 64-bit, please repair the game in Origin: open your game library, right-click on the Sims 3 icon, and select Repair.
For either version, the next step would be to move the entire Sims 3 folder out of Documents > Electronic Arts and open the launcher to create a clean folder. Download just one store item, using Firefox, open the launcher's Downloads section, and try to install that item. If nothing happens, close the launcher and reopen it. If you see a second green plumbob in your Dock, please click on it: that's the installer, which may be hidden behind the launcher itself.
