Strange error codes, game will not load.
I'm having trouble running the Sims 3 Supernatural on my Macbook Pro. When I start the game, I get two pop up error codes. The first reads:
Unable to start game
Service initialization failed (0x024e424f)
and the second reads:
Unhandled exception 0x80000003 at address 0x0058b226
Do you wish to debug it ?
I've tried selecting both yes and no to the debug error pop up, but neither creates any response. The game just shuts down. Also, I'm completely updated, and the Supernatural disc is in.
Does anyone know how to solve this issue?
Update -- problem solved!
I managed to solve the issue by downloading and installing the latest patch: http://forum.thesims3.com/jforum/posts/list/549552.page.
Just wanted to share in case anyone else encounters the same problem.
